Maximus Muddus
Today we had the Year 1 class assembly, this terms topic was ‘The Circus’ with the children being given the option of dressing as a clown or a gladiator from the ‘Circus Maximus’ guess what TM chose…… not hard to guess is it. This obviously result in the parents having to sort out another costume, it seems like it’s happening every other week…. still, the opportunity to wave around a gladius in school cannot be missed and so it begins, two days of cutting, stapling, taping and sticking to give you the finished article….’Strength and Honour’
Back to School
First day back for the foghorns. The scary thing is that Mr L is now 8 years old and wearing 10-11 polo shirts but still in 8(short) trousers, the traditional family short leg (long body) syndrome.
The only problem now is that despite being told that there was room on the school bus, now there might not be, I have ranted at the operator and will probably be ranting again later on – watch this space (edit – bus now sorted out, they’re not on the one they wanted to be on but at least they are on one)
see, he’s so tall he’s even above the masthead
I Know How He Feels
A lovely picnic with some of Child Twos classmates today (in-between rain showers), lots of running around & shouting…..repeat……drink…….repeat ad infinitum, still good to catch up with everyone
Child One then picked the Alex Rider Stormbreaker Board Game from a charity shop (unopened) for £4 which we then attempted to play at 7pm. At 8:30pm positions were jotted down and the game put away to continue tomorrow…….. One and a half hours to not really get anywhere, I’m amazed Child Two managed to keep an interest in the game, it’s a cross between mastermind (with the pegs), cluedo, colditz but still quite good fun, then again this was day one, there could be many more to come
