Here comes the HOTSHOT
What a day, we get to avoid the jingoistic flag waving and do something useful instead……. It’s kid’s football tournament season today was the turn of meddyg sy’n who had a great couple of hours, after getting a blister in the first match he ‘bravely’ battled on ploughing a furrow on the left side of midfield. The Toxic Monkey meanwhile kept insisting we play football with him for hours when all I wanted was to sit in the chair and watch the match…. Eventually Mrs OB and TM went of to the loo and obviously missed meddyg sy’ns finest footballing moment, collecting the ball on the left he plays it across the pitch to the right wing where his team-mate takes one touch and shoots across the goalie who can only palm it out leaving out hero to run in and rifle the ball into the roof of the net from 10 yards out while under pressure from a defender. He then looked at me in surprise (don’t know who was the most surprised him or me) as he usually doesn’t go that far up the pitch… Well done young man
